Before fighting the ‘Polish Power’ Jan Blachowicz, Corey Anderson was on a four-fight win streak in the UFC. The future UFC champion knocked out Anderson in the first-round following which the latter left the UFC to join Bellator MMA. ‘Overtime’ has regained his momentum and is now competing in the promotion’s Light Heavyweight Grand Prix for the organization.
Now, Anderson is on a two-fight winning streak and will fight Ryan Bader in the semi-final of the Grand Prix. Following his second fight at Bellator MMA, Anderson tweeted Bellator paid him more money than the UFC. (Per The Sports Daily, Overtime earned $978,000 in the UFC in 15 fights)
‘Overtime’ wrote, “UFC gave me the career… Bellator gave me the life!! In 2 fights 6 months with Bellator, I’ve made double of what I did in 15 fights (11 wins 2 bonuses) 7 years with UFC. Now I live and enjoy life to the fullest with my family every day! Let that marinate…”
Corey Anderson is having the time of his life fighting for Bellator and looks very satisfied with his paychecks and his career.

The other semifinal will see Vadim Nemkov fight either Anthony Johnson or Yoel Romero. Both are former UFC fighters and will make their Bellator debut against each other on May 7. ‘Rumble’ Johnson will make his comeback after 4 long years. He lost his last fight against Daniel Cormier. Meanwhile, Yoel Romero, who is on a three-fight skid, lost his last fight against Israel Adesanya at UFC 248.
Even though both fighters are coming off of losses, the fight is still a must-watch for a lot of fans. As both Romero and Johnson possess unmatched power, they could easily shut the lights off with a single punch.
Who do you think will emerge as the Light Heavyweight Bellator champion?
